Admission Requirements at Adler University

Graduate Programs: 

  1. Academic Requirements: To be considered for admission, applicants should hold a degree from an accredited university, college, or institute and demonstrate a record of academic excellence.
    Unless otherwise specified in the program’s admission requirements, prospective degree students are expected to possess a four-year bachelor’s degree if applying to a master’s program or a master’s degree if applying to a Ph.D. program with an academic average as specified by the academic unit.
    Most programs require a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all undergraduate or graduate coursework.
    Transcripts should include certified English translations and sent to SpanTran, OneEarth, or World Education Services (WES) for a course-by-course evaluation.
  2. English Language Proficiency: International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting valid test scores. Lakehead University accepts various English language proficiency tests such as IELTS academic (7.0), or TOEFL iBT (92). The minimum score requirements may vary by program.
  3. Tuition, Fees, and Refund Policy

Tuition: 

  1. Graduate Program Tuition: 
    • International Student Tuition: Approximately $1,110 CAD per credit
    • Master of Public Policy and Administration Tuition: $37,872 CAD for the whole program
    • Master of Industrial and Organizational Psychology Tuition: $47,340 CAD for the whole program
    • Master of Applied Psychology Tuition: $41,028 CAD for the whole program
    • Graduate Preparatory Program Tuition: $5000 CAD
  2. Tuition Deposit: Students are obliged to submit a deposit of $5,000 to secure their enrollment at Adler University. The deposit will go towards your initial semester’s tuition.

Fees: 

  1. Application Fee: $30 CAD
  2. Student Services Fees: $2,300 CAD per year
  3. Book Fees: Approximately $1,200 CAD per year
  4. Start Date Deferment Fee (non-refundable): $500 CAD
  5. Universal Fee (Student Activity Fee): $312 CAD per term

Refund Policy:

Should an applicant not successfully obtain their study permit, the University will refund the deposit minus an administrative processing charge of $200. Applicants will be required to provide proof of their declined study permit to be eligible for a refund.
