Citizens of the EU/EEA member states, as well as individuals from several other countries, are fortunate enough to travel to Hungary without the need for a visa. These countries include Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Guatemala, the Holy See, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Salvador, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, United States of America, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
For applicants who do require a visa, a set of specific documents must be submitted at a Hungarian consulate. It’s important to note that visa requirements may be subject to change, so it’s advisable to contact your local Hungarian consulate for the most up-to-date information.
Required Documents for Visa Application
The required documents for the student visa to Hungary are:
- Copy of admission letter from Trust Academy.
- Completed and typed an application for a student visa to the Embassy of Hungary, signed by the student.
- Copy of high school diploma and official translations (with accredited English translation, endorsed by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran).
- Four passport-sized photos (4.5*3.5 cm).
- Personal résumé in English.
- Original and copy of a valid passport (valid for more than one year, preferably with at least 14 months validity considering the visa processing time, and signed by the applicant).
- Translation of financial capability letter (from father, mother, or legal guardian).
- Three-month bank statement in English with a minimum balance equivalent to 10,000 euros at the daily exchange rate.
- Translation of employment certificate of the father (if applicable) on company letterhead with official stamp and signature.
- Official pay stub from the company or workplace, indicating income, earnings, and deductions, dated one month prior to applying for the Hungarian visa (the amount of income should be consistent with the job title and the amount of funds in the bank account should be synchronized with the monthly living expenses of the student in the country plus the monthly current expenses of the family, equivalent to a minimum of 1,000 euros per month).
- Official translated copy of the student’s birth certificate, endorsed by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- Official translated birth certificates of the student’s parents, endorsed by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- Parental commitment letter indicating the ability to cover the student’s tuition and living expenses for the entire duration of study in Hungary.
- If the applicant is under 18 years of age, both parents must provide a consent and commitment letter regarding the student’s exit and financial responsibility. This commitment letter must be officially translated (translated and endorsed by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
- Officially translated valid property documents, endorsed by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- 90-day travel insurance policy (excluding Iranian insurance).
- Round-trip flight reservation for the student for one year.
- Hotel reservation for the student visa for a minimum of 90 days from the date of entry into Hungary. Payment for at least several nights in the hotel (non-refundable depending on the hotel). Alternatively, a one-year rental contract in Hungary.
- Embassy educational fees, which amount to 110 euros.
- Receipts are only required for direct entry into Hungarian territory.

- Special conditions for students entering during the COVID-19 pandemic:
- Students must undergo COVID-19 tests (PCR test) 48 hours before entry.
- Necessary tests for college registration after arrival, such as HIV, Hepatitis B (HBV), and a chest X-ray report in English.
- A certificate of physical health from a doctor in Iran in English (sample certificate available on the Trust Academy website).
Important Points for Hungarian Student Visa:
- The student should be aware that Trust Academy provides guidance on applying for student visas.
- The final decision-maker is the Hungarian Embassy and the Immigration Office of Hungary.
- The student must personally visit the embassy to apply for the student visa.
- The student must be present in front of the embassy half an hour before the embassy appointment time.
- The student must complete the required documents and be fully prepared in English for the embassy interview.
- The student should be aware that any delay or procrastination in providing educational documents for the student visa application by the applicant, or canceling and rescheduling the visa appointment by the embassy, is the responsibility of the student. The embassy may not offer another appointment for up to 6 months.
- The student should be aware that the process and time for obtaining a student visa may take up to 3 months.
- The student should be aware that when contacting the embassy for a visa appointment, due to the workload of the Hungarian Embassy, the visa appointment may be scheduled for several months later.
- The student should be aware that the appointment for a student visa request will be sent to the applicant’s email by the embassy. Therefore, the applicant must ensure the accuracy of the provided email address to the embassy.
- The student should be aware that for handling student visa matters, they should only trust representatives of Trust Academy and strongly avoid engaging with brokers and intermediaries.
